The Diesel Service Technician-Seasonal Intern role involves the repair and maintenance of diesel engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications. This is a full-time, on-site internship position.
What you'll do#
- Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engine industrial trucks.
- Diagnose malfunctions and execute necessary repairs with efficiency and accuracy.
- Document all work performed and any recommended services on repair orders.
- Communicate with the service advisor and foreman regarding repair status and additional needs.
- Maintain a neat and clean shop area and ensure tools and equipment are handled safely.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
What you'll need#
- Two years of related experience or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and interpret technical manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Preferred certifications include Brakes Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck and Diesel Engines Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck.
- Relevant coursework in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
