About the role#
The Research Intern provides support to the Principal Investigator and study team for a preclinical research project. This role focuses on the development and validation of a non-invasive biosensor system for the early diagnosis and management of intracranial and hemodynamics issues. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Execute and maintain research project tasks, including data collection and analysis.
- Manage study documentation and ensure accurate, timely data management.
- Assist with the initial coding and data entry of structured questionnaires and data collection tools.
- Maintain and update files for regulatory documentation, including protocols, approvals, and amendments.
- Prepare progress reports and schedule regular team meetings.
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards.
- Communicate effectively with the research team and the study sponsor.
What you'll need#
- A background in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Health Administration, or Public Health.
- Strong preference for candidates with a background in science and engineering.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory experiments and biomedical engineering principles.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written formats.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and communicate in a diplomatic manner.
