The Research Intern will support the Principal Investigator and study team with Concussion Baseline Testing at Keller Army Community Hospital. This is a paid, full-time, on-site summer internship for Summer 2026, specifically for a few weeks in August 2026. This role is open to students in Biology, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Assist with self-reporting baseline assessment measures.
- Execute and maintain research study activities, including data collection and participant consenting.
- Manage study documentation, ensuring accurate and timely filing.
- Promote the safety and confidentiality of all research participants.
- Create and adhere to a data quality and quality assurance plan.
- Assist with administrative logistics, including scheduling and initial coding of data collection tools.
- Adhere to OSHA, GCP, and GLP regulations, as well as infection control procedures.
What you'll need#
- Previous clinical research experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medications, laboratory tests, and abbreviations.
- Intermediate experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Competence in oral and written communication.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor and adapt to changing priorities.
