About the role#
The Application Processor I manages student records and application workflows within the university system. This role involves maintaining data integrity, processing applications for completion, and providing administrative support to students, faculty, and staff. Work is performed on-site under general supervision, following established university policies and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in-person at the front desk.
- Process applications, including assigning starting terms, initiating workflows, and verifying completion for evaluation.
- Advise students on the use of online application tools and status tracking.
- Maintain and organize student files using imaging systems and university software.
- Manage application data, including entering test scores, adding or removing holds, and documenting academic exemptions or fee waivers.
- Assist with orientation activities and general office tasks such as document indexing and records maintenance.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an office setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Working knowledge of imaging systems and office software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and exercise independent judgment.
- Preferred: Experience in records management within a higher education setting.
