About the role#
As a Test Engineering Intern in the NPI Pilot Team, you will support the design and build phases of new products as they move from prototype to production. You will work under the supervision of a Pilot Test engineer to verify designs, develop test procedures, and perform failure root-cause analysis. This role requires a balance of technical troubleshooting and collaboration across functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Work with Pilot Test engineers on new product design and build phases.
- Verify designs and create test procedures for PCBA Bench, board, and functional testing.
- Identify root causes for hardware or software issues and coordinate with appropriate teams for resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, implement test setups, and qualify test fixtures, equipment, and software.
- Assist engineers with failure root-cause analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a third- or fourth-year bachelor student or master student in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of hardware sub-systems, circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
- Experience using standard lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and independently without supervision.
- Ability to physically lift 40 pounds.
