About the role#
Tabs is seeking a part-time Technology Services Intern to support the daily operations of our office and internal systems. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of workplace operations and IT, working closely with the Director of IT & Security and the Head of Operations to ensure a seamless experience for the team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure conference rooms are fully functional, including Zoom, displays, audio, and cameras.
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues related to hardware, connectivity, and system access.
- Assist with the provisioning and tracking of laptops and other equipment.
- Help manage access to core internal tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion.
- Prepare for new hires by setting up desks and ensuring system access is ready for day one.
- Support general office operations, including package distribution, building access for guests, and AV setup for company meetings.
- Triage and route incoming IT and office-related requests.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills with a reliable and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Proactive mindset with strong follow-through on assigned tasks.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- An interest in how IT, security, and operations scale within a high-growth company.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship (10–20 hours per week).
- The role is strictly on-site in New York City, New York.
