RCM Specialist Intern

About the role#

Swish Dental is seeking an RCM Specialist Intern to support our finance department. This role focuses on maintaining the accuracy of provider data and managing the dental revenue cycle. This is a full-time, paid, remote position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Complete and process provider applications and maintain database accuracy.
• Review all aspects of the revenue cycle, including insurance verification, claims submission, and payment posting.
• Utilize practice management software to enter data, prepare reports, and ensure entry accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve denied, delayed, or underpaid claims, including handling appeals.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize billing processes, improve patient satisfaction, and gather necessary documentation for claims.

What you'll need#

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency in dental billing software such as OpenDental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
• Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and dental insurance plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Accounting.
