About the role#
The Canadian Engineering team is seeking an Associate Data Engineer for the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining AWS data pipelines, data ingestion processes, and data architecture. You will work in a global, multi-site environment and contribute to the full development cycle of data systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop data pipelines in an AWS Cloud environment using Python and AWS Glue.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data solutions.
- Provide coding and design support for the construction and maintenance of robust, efficient data applications.
- Coordinate all aspects of the development cycle, from design to implementation.
- Deliver solutions in accordance with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Experience or knowledge of developing data pipelines using AWS Glue.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data structure design.
- Experience with version control systems, such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-site environment.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Ability to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance, which includes a law enforcement inquiry and credit check.
