Summer 2026 Construction Project Engineer Internship STRUCTURAL Rocky Mountain Division

About the role#

The Project Engineer Internship is part of the Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) program. This role focuses on in-field learning and development within the Rocky Mountain Division. Interns will balance their time between local work in Salt Lake City and out-of-state projects, with expected travel ranging from 50% to 75% of the time.

What you'll do#

• Assist with scheduling and production rate tracking.
• Support estimating processes and budget preparation.
• Manage project cost control.
• Oversee safety management and quality control protocols.
• Participate in business development, client relations, and field resource management.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities.
• A demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving.
• Reliable transportation for travel between the office and job sites.
