About the role#
The Student Accounts Representative maintains the accuracy of student financial records. This role supports institutional financial operations by processing transactions, managing funding applications, and ensuring ledger integrity in accordance with federal regulations and institutional policies.
What you'll do#
- Maintain accurate student account ledgers by posting financial transactions.
- Process account adjustments, tuition changes, institutional scholarships, and corrections.
- Assist with the application and reconciliation of Title IV funding, third-party funding, and cash payments.
- Generate and review reports to identify transaction errors, variances, and account exceptions.
- Support daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end reconciliation activities.
What you'll need#
- An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, reconciliation, or banking operations is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial or student information systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
