Engineering/Operations Co-Op

About the role#

The Engineering/Operations Co-Op will support the development and production of instrument transformers and grid products at Standex Grid: Amran. This role provides exposure to product design, testing processes, and the manufacturing environment while focusing on professional development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Provide engineering support for the Auredia Project.
• Assist with product design and testing activities.
• Review and update engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collect and analyze test data.
• Support prototype builds and production implementation.
• Troubleshoot product and manufacturing issues.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in product development, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
