About the role#
The Youth Employment and Student Pathways Coordinator supports student career development and experiential learning within the Centre for Experiential Learning. This full-time, term position focuses on strengthening student engagement and workforce readiness through the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) and the XPLORE program. The role involves working with campus partners, faculty, alumni, and community organizations to foster an inclusive environment that supports student success.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of student-facing workshops, events, and engagement activities.
- Assist with the administration of the Youth Employment Initiative, including supporting historically excluded and underrepresented student populations with career inquiries.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of the XPLORE program, a pathway focused on career exploration, self-discovery, and experiential learning.
- Liaise with campus partners, employers, and community organizations to support student placements and programming.
- Maintain accurate records, program documentation, and participation data for reporting purposes.
- Assist with student outreach, communications, and the creation of promotional materials.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- A background or interest in career development, student affairs, human resources, or related fields.
- Experience coordinating programs, events, or student initiatives.
- Familiarity with post-secondary environments.
- Strong digital and administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and online communication tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various projects and stakeholder groups.
