About the role#
The Student Nurse Extern program for the Summer 2026 cohort offers nursing students the opportunity to provide bedside care and develop professional relationships with patients, guests, and medical staff. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Brunswick, Georgia. Orientation sessions are scheduled for May 18th and June 1st.
What you'll do#
- Provide general patient care throughout your shift.
- Assist patients with meal preparation and teach self-care techniques.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights.
- Collect and transport patient specimens as requested.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the first year of a Registered Nurse curriculum for an Associate Degree program OR enrollment in the Junior semester of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing program.
- No clinical experience outside of nursing school is required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts during holiday breaks, school breaks, and weekends.
