Fraud Operations Analyst Intern

About the role#

Sleeper is seeking a Fraud Operations Analyst Intern to join our team for a 12-week program. This role focuses on protecting the integrity of our gaming platform and user community. While this is a temporary position, there is a possibility of conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

What you'll do#

• Monitor and analyze suspicious player activity to mitigate potential fraud.
• Review user wallet transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, and overall play activity.
• Use internal tools and reports to identify fraud trends and communicate findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, including Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
• Collaborate with the Customer Support team to manage identity verification, document authentication, and investigations into suspicious behavior.
• Work cross-functionally to optimize fraud prevention processes and risk mitigation systems.

What you'll need#

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Fraud, Risk Operations, or a related field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS), gaming, or payment processes within the industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and user behaviors.
• Ability to work in a startup environment and adapt to industry changes.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Location & details#

• This is a remote, full-time, paid internship at $24.04 per hour.
• Sick time is provided; no other benefits are offered during the internship.
