ML Software Engineer Intern

About the role#

As an ML Software Engineer Intern, you will work with hardware engineers to build and deploy machine learning models that improve circuit and system design workflows. This role focuses on applying AI to technical challenges at the intersection of software and hardware design.

What you'll do#

• Design, build, train, and evaluate machine learning models to support circuit design workflows.
• Develop models for circuit performance prediction, design-space optimization, and simulation acceleration.
• Build data pipelines and model-training workflows using simulation results, measurement data, circuit parameters, and design constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate engineering requirements into ML solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports, and participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, code organization, and collaborative development practices.
• Experience with data processing libraries including pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
• Understanding of methods for evaluating, validating, and improving AI/ML model performance in real-world applications.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
