The Early Childhood Student Services Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for student support within the Douglas Family Early Childhood Center. This full-time, on-site role focuses on the social, emotional, and physical development of students from Toddler to Pre-K. You will work closely with teachers, families, and specialists to ensure each child receives tailored support, helping to bridge the gap between classroom instruction and individualized developmental needs.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage individual Student Action Plans (SAPs) to support student development.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide modeling for teachers to support diverse learning styles.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and developmental expectations.
- Coordinate with outside specialists, such as speech and occupational therapists, as needed.
- Collaborate with the student support team, K-8 School Counselor, and administration to implement effective conflict resolution and behavioral strategies.
- Maintain organized tracking systems for student progress, support plans, and family history.
- Provide research-based training to faculty and parents on supporting varied learning needs.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Early Childhood Special Education Credential (ECSE).
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in early childhood special education.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse staff and families.
- Proficiency with technology, including Google Workspace and educational software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move actively within a classroom environment, including standing, kneeling, and navigating stairs.
- Prior teaching experience and a background in behavior modification are preferred.

- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Employment Type: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $58,000 - $75,000 annually.
