Industrial Internship

About the role#

This industrial internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineering and maintenance professionals to support technical documentation and safety compliance initiatives. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

What you'll do#

• Draft, update, and organize equipment-specific procedures and technical instructions.
• Support the development of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols by identifying energy sources, documenting isolation steps, and creating visual aids.
• Collect technical equipment data and verify the accuracy of existing procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure all documentation meets OSHA standards and company safety policies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related technical program.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in industrial systems.
• Strong written communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical information and follow structured processes.
• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 is preferred but not required.
