About the role#
The Student CMO internship is a 10-week program designed for students to manage marketing for their local Shake Smart location. This role focuses on building skills in brand strategy, content creation, and campus outreach while working through a structured weekly curriculum. Participants will complete a capstone project to identify growth opportunities on campus and pitch a marketing solution.
What you'll do#
- Create photos and videos for social media to drive brand awareness and foot traffic.
- Plan and execute on-campus promotions and events.
- Complete a weekly curriculum covering topics such as Instagram strategy, print design, and strategic marketing.
- Build a professional portfolio of marketing work.
- Meet weekly with corporate leadership through virtual check-ins and coordinate with local management as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
- Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week.
- Experience or interest in creating social media content.
- Experience with on-campus promotions and events.
- Interest in developing marketing strategies.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site internship for Summer 2026.
- The position requires a 10-hour weekly commitment that remains flexible around class schedules.
- Interns receive 50% off Shake Smart menu items.
- This role is only available at corporate Shake Smart locations.
