About the role#
This is a 12–16 month paid co-op or internship placement within the Revenue Operations team at Semtech. You will gain experience working within a global semiconductor company's Salesforce platform, focusing on testing, data validation, and documentation. You will work across two Salesforce Sales Cloud orgs and support the integration of data between Salesforce and broader enterprise systems.
What you'll do#
- Design and build a library of test scenarios for key Salesforce objects, including Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, and partner portal interactions.
- Execute test scenarios for changes, enhancements, and new features; document results and flag defects.
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators and developers to triage and validate defect fixes.
- Support testing and validation of data flowing between Salesforce and enterprise systems, ensuring field-level accuracy and data integrity.
- Write and run SOQL queries to investigate data quality, confirm values, and support analysis requests.
- Document current-state business processes, Salesforce object configurations, and field-level data dictionaries.
- Produce process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate data movement across systems.
- Develop a working understanding of the global semiconductor sales model, including account structures and distributor channels.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a co-op or internship-eligible program at an Ontario university, with at least one full year of study completed.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Hands-on experience writing SQL or similar query languages.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and self-directed approach to work.
- Ability to spot data patterns and investigate anomalies.
