Accounting Intern

About the role#

The Accounting Intern supports the Finance & Accounting team at Sedron Technologies. This part-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing and technology environment, focusing on administrative and entry-level accounting tasks. This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to develop practical knowledge of accounting systems and business operations.

What you'll do#

• Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry and GL coding.
• Support accounts receivable activities, including payment tracking and invoice documentation.
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with weekly check and ACH payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounting transactions.
• Provide support for purchase order entry and related documentation.
• Assist with month-end close processing, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including mail distribution, data cleanup, and audit preparation.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a community college, technical program, or undergraduate program in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to accurately enter and maintain financial data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new systems and processes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
• Employment Status: Part-time, paid internship.
• Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
