GBM - Investment Banking (Mining) Internship/Co-op - Winter 2027

About the role#

This Investment Banking internship within the Mining sector offers an introduction to debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory work. Analysts will gain exposure to live mandates and work with senior team members across multiple projects. The role includes access to the Global Banking and Markets Learning Program and the opportunity to rotate through up to two different groups within investment banking.

What you'll do#

• Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients, including developing financial models and marketing materials.
• Support client pitch and deal execution efforts.
• Prepare financial and written analysis of companies and industries, including valuation models and pro forma financial statements.
• Perform in-depth company and industry research and source necessary data.
• Draft prospectuses and marketing presentations for transactions.
• Apply capital markets knowledge to assist clients in achieving financial objectives.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• A proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities.
• Strong quantitative skills with a focus on financial analysis and theory.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

• Term: Winter 2027 (January – April 2027).
• Modality: On-site.
• Commitment: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
