Summer 2027 Intern - Audit

About the role#

This 10-week summer internship program runs from June to August and provides hands-on professional experience within the Audit practice. Interns work on diverse client projects, receive guided mentorship, and gain exposure to the firm's service lines. This is a full-time, paid position with an average work week of 30-32 hours.

What you'll do#

• Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing audit plans.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to gather necessary audit evidence and resolve inquiries.
• Execute audit procedures, including the examination of financial records, internal controls, and operational processes.
• Prepare detailed audit workpapers to document findings, procedures performed, and conclusions.
• Analyze financial statements and supporting documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Identify control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• A minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Previous successful business experience, with a preference for prior public accounting internships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to the Hunt Valley office and client sites as needed.
