Social Media & Partnerships Intern

About the role#

The Social Media & Partnerships Intern supports the Communications team by assisting with social media execution, content development, and partnership initiatives for SASSO and its clients. This role provides hands-on experience in organic social media strategy, influencer outreach, and campaign execution within a collaborative agency environment.

What you'll do#

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing content across agency social media platforms.
• Create written, visual, and short-form content to support marketing initiatives.
• Monitor social media channels and engage with audiences.
• Research trends, competitors, and content ideas to support audience growth.
• Support partnership outreach for sports-related clients by researching potential athletes, creators, organizations, and brand partners.
• Assist with outreach communications, relationship tracking, and campaign organization.
• Collaborate with Communications, Creative, Strategy, and Account teams on promotional initiatives.
• Track social media engagement and basic performance metrics to assist with reporting.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Basic understanding of content creation, social media trends, and audience engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Interest in social media marketing, influencer marketing, partnerships, brand strategy, or communications.
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

• Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Hybrid).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Employment: Part-time (10–20 hours per week).
• Compensation: Paid internship.
