Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

About the role#

Sanmina is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join the team in San Jose. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design and implementation of manufacturing processes for electronics products. This is a full-time, paid position requiring at least 40 hours of work per week.

What you'll do#

• Support the engineering team in designing and implementing new manufacturing processes.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
• Conduct data analysis and develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Perform engineering change processes to support existing products.
• Test prototypes and standard products, documenting results in formal reports.
• Categorize existing parts and provide support for cross-functional projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in year 3 or 4 of a 4-year degree program in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
