Clinical Internship

About the role#

This clinical internship offers hands-on experience within an adolescent residential treatment center. Interns support the recovery journey of clients and their families while developing therapeutic competence in a multidisciplinary setting. This is an unpaid position focusing on professional growth, ethical practice, and clinical skill development.

What you'll do#

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions under the direct supervision of a clinician.
• Contribute to client treatment goals and support the overall recovery process.
• Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings to collaborate with and learn from experienced professionals.
• Receive one hour of individual supervision per week.
• Manage clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing responsibilities while meeting required timelines.
• Coordinate care effectively with clients, families, and other providers.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a master’s program in counseling or social work seeking a clinical internship.
• Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening per week.
• A commitment to ethical practice, professional standards, and high-quality clinical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to contribute to a client-centered environment.
• Self-awareness and a willingness to seek support and guidance from supervisors.
