About the role#
SACC Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented Business & Finance Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity to manage core financial operations and strategic planning for the Chamber, working closely with the treasurer and the Board of Directors. The intern will gain hands-on experience in international trade and business development while managing budgets, membership relations, and financial reporting.
What you'll do#
- Utilize Quickbooks to manage accounting tasks, including financial transactions for events and membership dues.
- Generate and send invoices for membership dues and follow up on late payments to ensure timely receivables.
- Collaborate with the treasurer to develop and implement long-term financial strategies.
- Maintain the membership database and manage the CRM system to support recruitment and relationship building.
- Create and manage budgets for Chamber events to ensure profitability and strategic financial planning.
- Develop and nurture sponsorship relationships, including negotiating deals and monitoring agreement compliance.
What you'll need#
- A recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden to meet U.S. visa requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in both Swedish and English.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with CRM systems is considered an asset.
