This is an expression of interest for the Summer 2026 Internship Program at Rigetti Computing. Interns work alongside scientists, engineers, and business professionals on initiatives that advance quantum technology. Potential areas of focus include quantum hardware engineering, cryogenic and control systems, quantum algorithms, software tools, error detection, information technology, and operations.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in quantum hardware, software, and systems research.
- Join cross-functional project teams to contribute to real-world initiatives.
- Participate in an environment focused on innovation, experimentation, and collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
- Demonstrated interest or coursework in quantum information science or advanced computing systems.
- Strong communication, curiosity, and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to learn and, where applicable, hands-on laboratory or experimental experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
