Co-Op Intern

About the role#

Reworld Waste is seeking a Co-Op Intern to join our team in West Wareham, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. This role is designed for students currently pursuing a major in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

What you'll do#

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to the established maintenance schedule to prevent operational downtime.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns and line stoppages using root-cause analysis.
• Prioritize work to ensure the timely repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and utility systems.
• Maintain and repair industrial production machinery, including assembly, disassembly, and component replacement.
• Inspect operating machinery and equipment to ensure conformance with safety and performance standards.
• Document maintenance activities, manage work orders, and track spare parts within the company's maintenance program.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently in the process of completing a major in Environmental, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
