About the role#
As an Accounting Intern at Red Moon Marketing, you will work alongside finance professionals to contribute to core accounting and financial reporting processes. This role provides hands-on experience in business operations and helps build the technical competencies required for future accounting roles.
What you'll do#
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts while researching variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency.
- Develop financial schedules and dashboards using Microsoft Excel.
- Partner with leaders across accounting and operations on special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and qualifications.
- Schedule: Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with additional hours potentially available during summer and semester breaks.
- Term: Rolling.
