About the role#
The Business Development Intern will support the growth of PIE&G Connect’s fiber internet network. This position provides hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and telecommunications while working directly with local businesses and residents. This is a part-time role requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Learn and master PIE&G Connect’s fiber internet technology, service packages, pricing, and competitive advantages.
- Research and identify local business prospects within the service area.
- Conduct outbound outreach through calls and emails to introduce services and educate prospects on the benefits of fiber internet.
- Assist prospective customers with completing service applications and required paperwork.
- Follow up with interested prospects to move opportunities through the sales process.
- Schedule meetings for management and maintain accurate records of outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, Technology, or a related field (or recent graduate within the past two years).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak confidently with business owners and decision-makers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic business software.
- A self-motivated, positive, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.

- Compensation: $20.00 per hour plus a performance bonus opportunity for new business accounts activated and installed.
