As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will support the PEUS Quality Engineering team in identifying, assessing, and managing root causes for technical issues. You will work across various vehicle systems engineering disciplines to maintain continuous quality improvement and ensure timely issue resolution for the Porsche Center network.
What you'll do#
- Analyze warranty cases to identify frequent product quality issues and gauge the effectiveness of engineering solutions.
- Perform technical reviews of Lemon Law repurchase cases and conduct investigations into repurchases initiated for technical reasons.
- Support the Technical Support Hotline and Field Technical Managers to resolve and mitigate cases requiring engineering involvement.
- Collect ground truth data to assist development departments in understanding issues and reducing diagnosis time.
- Install data acquisition equipment, write configurations to capture data, and verify that recorded data is suitable for analysis.
- Collaborate with internal committees for quality topic investigation and countermeasure release.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of an ABET-accredited Engineering degree (BSME or BSEE).
- Theoretical and practical automotive knowledge across vehicle engineering disciplines.
- Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems for logging and analysis.
- Excellent investigation, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds and work in an open office environment.
- Knowledge of the German language and culture is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2026 through Winter 2027 (July 2026 – January 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $18/hr – $20/hr.
