About the role#
This 12-month internship program offers international candidates hands-on experience in Food and Beverage or Culinary operations. Interns gain exposure to luxury service standards within a professional hospitality environment while developing leadership and business skills. The program includes mentorship from industry leaders and opportunities to network across GATE Hospitality properties.
What you'll do#
- Work in frontline roles within Food and Beverage outlets or culinary disciplines.
- Participate in rotational job shadowing to learn various aspects of luxury operations.
- Complete a capstone project to be presented to the property leadership team.
- Engage in on-the-job and self-paced training through the internal learning library.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Hospitality, Culinary, or related program.
- Eligibility for a J-1 Visa through an approved sponsor.
- A strong passion for Food and Beverage or Culinary Arts.
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to interpret documents.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
