Finance - Finance Student (2-Months Co-op)

About the role#

The Accounts Payable Co-op Student will support the Finance team with day-to-day accounts payable activities. This two-month position offers practical experience in accounting processes, financial controls, and ERP systems within a professional business environment.

What you'll do#

• Review vendor invoices for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform three-way matching by verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Enter invoices into SAP accurately and on a timely basis.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Maintain electronic and physical invoice records and assist with vendor account reconciliations.
• Assist with payment processing, vendor master data maintenance, and responding to vendor inquiries.
• Aid in document organization, filing, and audit requests.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a College or University program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically with sorting, filtering, formulas, and data organization.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
• An interest in learning and working collaboratively within a team.
• Exposure to ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is considered an asset.
