IT Intern

About the role#

Pivot Interiors is seeking an IT Intern to join our team on a rolling basis. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in San Jose, California. The role provides hands-on experience in a medium-sized business environment, supporting daily IT operations and contributing to technical projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist the IT team with help desk tickets, both remotely and in-person.
• Manage hardware and software inventory.
• Perform computer imaging, software packaging, staging, and installation.
• Support user administration, including the onboarding and termination processes.
• Audit and update technical documentation.
• Provide support in areas such as cybersecurity, server administration, automation, and scripting.
• Assist with small projects tailored to individual capabilities.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Previous technology experience is preferred.
