About the role#
The Nurse Extern provides direct patient care to patients ranging from birth through the entire lifecycle. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support clinical operations and patient outcomes while adhering to hospital policies.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care across the lifecycle.
- Utilize treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate for a pre-licensure nurse.
- Follow hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Engage in wellness programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of the first Med/Surg rotation.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Preferred: Certification as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or in phlebotomy.
