Intern, Business Data Analyst

About the role#

We are seeking an Intern, Business Data Analyst to join our Digital Product Management team for an 8-month term. In this role, you will provide comprehensive business and product support for data management. You will work across various departments, including Investment Management, Portfolio Construction, Trading, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Operations, to support their data automation needs.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and support data automation requirements.
• Assist in collecting information from multiple sources, synthesizing findings, and converting high-level requests into actionable tasks.
• Support data analysis and reporting by transforming complex information into clear, simple insights.
• Contribute to the documentation of business objectives, current processes, and project challenges.
• Create and refine project documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Gain exposure to Agile project management and contribute to project roadmaps throughout the development lifecycle.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM-related field, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• An interest in financial concepts, capital markets, wealth management, or asset management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information clearly.
• Exposure to data analysis through coursework, projects, or prior experience is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or PowerBI is helpful but not required.
