Intern - Marketing & E-Commerce

About the role#

Phoenix Systems is seeking an intern to assist with the identification, marketing, and sale of surplus inventory. This role provides hands-on experience in inventory management, digital marketing, and online sales within the residential security industry. Opportunities are available for the Summer and Fall 2026 terms.

What you'll do#

• Identify, organize, and catalog surplus or at-risk inventory in the warehouse.
• Photograph products to ensure high-quality visuals for e-commerce listings.
• Write accurate and informative product descriptions for online listings.
• Create and manage listings on Facebook Marketplace and other approved e-commerce platforms.
• Respond to customer inquiries, manage negotiations, and coordinate shipping logistics.
• Track and report on inventory movement and sales performance.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize listing visibility.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in high school, or a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with online marketplaces such as Facebook Marketplace or eBay.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
