About the role#
The Additive Intern position at the Danville Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence offers an opportunity to work within the Federal Division on the Columbia Class Submarine project. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to research projects by assisting in the development and testing of additive manufacturing processes.
- Explore new materials and technologies to help advance additive manufacturing capabilities.
- Support engineers in the design and fabrication of parts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing technology environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Successful completion of the ATDM program at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.
- US Citizenship status is required due to customer requirements.
