People Operations Intern

About the role#

PDW is seeking a People Operations Intern for Summer 2026 to contribute to projects involving onboarding, internal documentation, AI tooling, and workflow automation. This is a paid, non-administrative role for a candidate interested in how a modern People Operations team functions.

What you'll do#

• Support projects tied to onboarding and the new hire experience.
• Build People Operations playbooks, process documentation, and internal resources.
• Improve internal knowledge resources and intranet content.
• Research AI tools and workflow automation for potential integration into People Operations.
• Assist with process mapping, operational improvement, and workflow optimization.
• Contribute to reporting, analytics, and operational tracking projects.
• Improve employee self-service resources.
• Partner cross-functionally on operational projects across the company.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Analytics, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in operations, systems, AI, automation, or employee experience.
• Ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to own and execute assigned projects.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, or platforms such as Microsoft, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, or Google Workspace is preferred.

• Location: Huntsville, Alabama (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week.
• Compensation: Paid position at $24/hour.
