About the role#
Packaging Corporation of America is seeking an Accounting Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This internship is based at the company paper mill in DeRidder, Louisiana. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist in completing required fixed asset audits.
- Collaborate with and provide support to the procurement and accounting departments.
- Ensure the integrity and completeness of accounting records.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting policies (GAAP).
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university as a student in good standing, majoring in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Completion of the sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- A broad understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under time constraints, and build professional relationships.
- Authorization to work in the United States and successful completion of a drug screen.
