About the role#
Pacifica Christian High School is seeking an entrepreneurial and strategically minded Director of Student Life to lead and strengthen the student experience. This role focuses on cultivating a joyful, cohesive, and mission-aligned culture by overseeing programming, major events, student traditions, service learning, student-led clubs, and the House System. The Director works closely with academic, athletics, arts, and advancement leaders to ensure student life serves as a vital arena for growth in faith, friendship, and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Oversee student life programming and major events, including attendance at weekly Executive Council meetings.
- Coordinate student-led clubs and maintain student life equipment and supplies.
- Help develop new programs in areas such as Campus Life and Service Learning.
- Serve as an Advisor to a cohort of students.
- Manage day-to-day expenses and budgets related to student life events.
- Communicate event information to faculty, staff, parents, and students through school channels.
- Represent the school publicly and assist with admissions processes such as open houses and shadow days.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Previous experience in youth ministries, educational leadership, or a related field.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid CA Driver’s License.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, or Sociology.
