Transaction Analyst Commercial Real Estate Finance Intern

About the role#

The Transaction Analyst Intern supports the PACE Equity originations team during the summer. This role provides hands-on experience with live commercial real estate transactions, including financial underwriting, deal structuring, and the proposal development process. You will work closely with market leaders to gain insight into how transactions are evaluated and executed within the C-PACE financing space.

What you'll do#

• Support market leaders with initial deal underwriting, analysis, and capital structure.
• Review underwriting assumptions and proposed financial terms for accuracy, logical consistency, and compliance with program criteria.
• Contribute to the preparation of sales proposals, including financial analysis, term sheets, and commitment documentation.
• Build and analyze components of real estate financial models, including cash flow assumptions and basic underwriting inputs.
• Assist with project coordination of regional sales proposal processes to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Track and analyze sales pipeline data and support the team with technology tools and internal program guidelines.

What you'll need#

• Status as a rising senior or recent graduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in commercial real estate finance or sustainable finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to work as a self-starter, both independently and with team guidance.

• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
• Term: Summer 2026 (full-time, 40 hours per week).
• Modality: Hybrid (3–4 days per week in the Milwaukee office).
• Compensation: This is a paid internship.
