Olson Kundig offers a six-month, paid Interior Design Internship rooted in mentorship. This program provides immersive exposure to the full spectrum of the design practice, from conceptual development to construction documentation. The firm maintains a rotating cohort of interns with openings throughout the year.
What you'll do#
- Model and render design concepts to support conceptual design development.
- Assemble graphics, material boards, and interior design information into presentation packages for clients and project teams.
- Prepare interior construction documents, including custom furniture design and specifications.
- Collaborate with senior team members and vendors to research materials, explore furniture, fixture, and equipment (FFE) options, and support space planning.
- Contribute ideas and solutions within team environments and support special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program, preferably CIDA-accredited.
- Portfolio demonstrating design ability and technical skills.
- Proficiency in producing visually compelling presentations, interior drawings, and renderings.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
- Understanding of color theory, material basics, ergonomics, furniture design, and FFE sourcing.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Location: Seattle, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $26.50 per hour.
