About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern (PRN) supports pharmacy operations by assisting with medication preparation and inventory management. This role requires a commitment to professional growth and the ability to adapt communication and service styles to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
What you'll do#
- Accurately compound IV admixtures and other extemporaneous preparations using aseptic technique.
- Maintain stock levels in assigned areas, including the IV room and Central Pharmacy.
- Accurately fill medication orders and enter ADR data into the computer system.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in good standing at an accredited College of Pharmacy or status as a graduate who has passed the NABP Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination.
- Current Pharmacy Intern Permit from the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment.
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard data entry.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
