About the role#
The Data Governance Intern supports the development and execution of enterprise data governance practices within the Data & Analytics team. This role focuses on the documentation, stewardship, quality, and management of organizational data assets. You will work alongside business and technical teams to ensure data is defined consistently, classified correctly, and aligned with enterprise standards. This position provides hands-on experience in how data is governed across systems and business processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist data stewards with documenting business terms, data definitions, and metadata.
- Support data quality monitoring, issue tracking, and remediation efforts.
- Create data governance metrics reports and dashboards.
- Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage documentation.
- Participate in data governance meetings and working sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Genuine interest in data management, governance, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Basic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and data concepts.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
