About the role#
Norway Health Center is seeking a compassionate LGSW Clinical Trainee or Intern to provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. In this role, you will work under clinical supervision to support the mental health needs of diverse populations while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and inform treatment planning.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions while receiving regular clinical supervision.
- Collaborate with clients and supervisors to create individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sessions, goals, and progress notes in accordance with agency standards.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure integrated support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Master’s or Doctoral program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Status as a student completing practicum or internship hours as part of an MSW program, or a graduate working toward independent licensure under supervision.
- Strong communication, empathy, cultural humility, and adaptability skills.
- A commitment to culturally responsive care and an awareness of systemic inequities.
