Student Success Assistant

About the role#

The Student Success Assistant supports student engagement and academic success at the Hays campus. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students, focusing on the administration of testing services and the coordination of programs that foster campus connection and student retention.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate various assessments, including placement, make-up, and accommodated testing.
• Support testing security and ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
• Schedule testing appointments and communicate testing information to students and faculty.
• Prepare testing materials and maintain organized, confidential testing records.
• Monitor testing environments to ensure fairness and academic integrity.
• Assist with student success events and creative programming on the Hays and Beloit campuses.
• Support occasional evening and weekend activities as needed.

What you'll need#

• High School diploma (Associate degree preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and a student-centered approach to problem-solving.
• Preferred: Experience in higher education, student services, testing administration, or event coordination.

Location & details#

• Location: Hays, Kansas (with occasional travel to the Beloit campus).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.

• Compensation: Paid position.
• Physical requirements include occasional lifting of event materials and the ability to stand for extended periods during activities.
