About the role#
The Co-op Project Coordinator for the Signals & Communications division supports project teams on railway infrastructure projects. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, documentation management, and project tracking to ensure the successful delivery of projects across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. You will work under the guidance of Project Managers to gain practical experience in project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the administrative activities of multiple projects at various stages.
- Provide ongoing communication and support to Project Managers.
- Help project teams meet objectives related to customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and production.
- Prepare project progress reports and status updates.
- Obtain and organize critical documentation such as permits, submittals, and subcontractor insurance requirements.
- Track project activities, schedules, and deliverables.
- Assist with project close-out activities including final documentation and punch list tracking.
- Update and maintain databases for customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework in Project Management is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a project-based environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
