About the role#
The Communications Intern is a formal training and development position designed to provide hands-on experience within the communications department. You will work on specific projects and assignments under the guidance of a designated mentor who provides supervision and support. This role involves following an individual work plan that outlines your specific duties and overall goals for the duration of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with managing social media channels, including content creation and scheduling posts.
- Help develop and implement communications plans to support organizational initiatives.
- Create communications collateral and support event planning, including pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up.
- Conduct research on target audiences, competitors, and industry trends.
- Monitor and report on key communication metrics.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing an Associate in Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota, USA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, scheduled in 4-8 hour blocks during the workweek.
- Compensation: Paid position, $16.48 - $19.78 per hour.
