About the role#
The Learning and Development Coordinator intern supports the NFI Learning Institute by assisting with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programs. This role focuses on safety and certification based learning, providing hands on experience while working with internal stakeholders and external providers to maintain a safe and skilled workforce.
What you'll do#
- Support business units, Human Resources, and Training and Development Specialists in identifying and coordinating training needs.
- Assist with the design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of standardized training programs.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of classroom and on the job training, including scheduling and material preparation.
- Contribute to the development of lesson plans, training aids, and assessment tools.
- Track training completion, maintain training inventories, and analyze basic performance measures.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Human Resources or Business Administration program.
- Understanding or coursework related to instructional design principles.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing practices and industrial environments.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and standard workplace software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with employees across all levels of the organization.
Location & details#
- Location: Anniston, Alabama.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 20 to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
- Status: Paid, full-time student position.
